Physiotherapists on the General Register annually complete two Continuing Competence Program activities—a Self-Selected Activity and a College-Selected Activity—to support ongoing professional development.
Self-Selected Activity
Begin planning your Self-Selected Activity.
A Self-Selected Activity is one you independently choose, provided it leads to significant, meaningful, and sustained improvement in your professional competence and in either patient care or physiotherapy/health-care services. Click here for examples.
Upon completion of the activity, you must document the outcomes of applying the new information or skill in the Practice Improvement Record. The 2026 Practice Improvement Record is now available in your Member Portal.
Important Notes for All Registrants:
- Participation in all competence program requirements is mandatory, regardless of employment status.
- All registrants must complete all the competence program requirements, whether registered for the full or partial registration year.
- The 2025/2026 competence program activities must be completed within the registration year (October 1, 2025 – September 30, 2026).
