Registered In Canada

Registration is mandatory. To practice as a physiotherapist in Alberta and use the titles physiotherapist or physical therapist, or abbreviation PT, an individual must be registered with the College of Physiotherapists of Alberta.

General Register

If you are currently registered as a physiotherapist in another Canadian province or territory (except Nunavut) and your register or license type is similar to Alberta's General Register, you may apply for registration on the General Register and authorization to practice independently.
