Activities requiring special authorisation

Regulated physical therapists must have specific authorisation to use needles in practice and/or incorporate spinal manipulation into physical therapy practice. These activities can only be performed after authorisation is granted, and then only as appropriate to the practitioner’s area of practice, the procedure being performed and within practitioner’s competence.

For more information, see authorised activities under members' menu.
